1. is your second toe longer than your big toe?

only slightly.

2. what is your favorite season?

fall, of course. the crisp air, the cool breeze, the sweatshirts and jeans, the football in the front yard, the color, the smell, the school supplies... ahhh. fall. nebraska sometimes skips fall, we go straight from summer to winter. dear lord, please let us have a fall this year.

3. what is your favorite joke?

-how do you tell ronald mcdonald on a nude beach?

-he's the one with the sesame seed buns.

4. what is your favorite color?

a tiffany's box. and pink, any shade will do.

5. what is your favorite winter activity?

reading, inside, by a fire, wrapped up in a snuggie. i don't go outdoors in winter. cold and i don't mesh well.

6. what is your dream job?

being a wife, a mom, and a writer. one down, two to go.

7. where did you graduate from high school?

broomfield high school. class of 2002. broomfield, co

8. what was your kindergarten teachers name?

mrs. dickman. she was lovely. she helped shape my love for books and reading. she made me keep tennis shoes in my cubby, because i liked to wear dress shoes everyday.

9. would you rather always have to say everything on your mind, or never speak again?

never speak again. i have hurt enough people in my life saying what is on my mind, i would rather not do it every. single. day.

10. diamonds or pearls?

last time i checked pearls weren't a girls best friend... diamonds, duh.

11. the city or the country?

yes please.

12. the mountains or the beach?

the mountains. my mountains. my cabins. on green mountain. in the gunnison national forrest. at the point. my favorite place on earth. well... it's a toss up between the point, and the eiffel tower.

13. where haven't you been, that you would like to go?

matthew and i would like to go to greece someday. someday before we have kids. i would like to go to new york. matthew went on his senior trip and has no desire to go again.

14. if you could have any superpower what would it be?

invisibility. when i said this, matthew said "yah, so you could nose around" and he is kinda right. well, almost all the way right. he knows me so well.

15. what is a song that takes you back?

how bizaare by OMC... takes me back to the bay, and my jennifer and april...

16. if you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?

pfftt... i don't know. i want to move texas, or phoenix, or madison. matthew does not want to move. i would love for my matthew to get to live in his home in northern wisconsin. i would love to live in paris, or timisoara. i am fairly content in omaha.

17. what time do you wake up?

5 am. matthew wakes me up, and i usually try to punch him. nobody wants his job. it's a miracle he puts up with me really.

18. what time do you go to bed?

10pm. pretty much on the dot. i wish i could stay up for the news and conan, it just doesn't happen.

19. what is the best thing you cook or bake?

my husband likes my chicken parmesan. my parents love my alfredo. we all like my enchiladas. i don't bake. i need more good (and simple, really really simple) recipes... please share.

20. what would you name yourself if you could?

i always loved my name. i always hated choosing a new name for myself. playing make believe when i was little, in spanish class, i didn't understand why i had to change my name. i really like my name. i wouldn't change it. melinda sue (herman) boucher.

  1. I won't answer all of these because I'm lazy, but the superpower I would want is flying. It would be fun, and practical. Just think, I could see roads from the sky. And How Bizarre takes me back too. Not jus to high school, but that time Steve, Matthew, Luke and I were coming back from Armor for Sleep and Say Anything (who we made fun of the whole time) in Ankeny Iowa. We're driving home, past Des Moines, goofing off and when that song came on we just blew up laughing because it is so classic/ridiculous.

  3. I decided to comment...I've been reading your blog lately and I really like it!

    It sure is!

    2. what is your favorite season?

    Spring. Or summer. Or fall. I can never choose- once a new season comes I am like "This one is definitely my favorite!"...until the next one comes. :)

    4. what is your favorite color?
    My favorite color is green. But I love the color scheme of black & white.

    5. what is your favorite winter activity?

    Figure skating. No question.

    6. what is your dream job?

    I've always wanted to be a Shamu trainer at Sea World...although I know it would never happen.

    8. what was your kindergarten teachers name?

    Mrs. Hughes. She just recently retired, which is sad, because I was hoping she would wait for 3 more years so I could graduate and take her place.

    10. diamonds or pearls?

    Both!

    13. where haven't you been, that you would like to go?

    Russia. Maybe if I win the lottery I can go to the 2014 Olympics in Sochi...Figure skating + Russia = AMAZING.

    17. what time do you wake up?

    Anywhere from 7-10, depending on what time I have class or work, and whether or not I can get a nap later.

    18. what time do you go to bed?

    Around 12:30...that needs to change.

    19. what is the best thing you cook or bake?

    I bake a lot...maybe cake or something. But I don't cook as often as I bake.

  5. melinda, i have also always wanted to be invisible. Ever since reading the see-thru sneakers books. she was always eavesdropping and snooping. the only problem is, she would become visible again at the most inopportune moments. it was an excellent read for a nine year old
