a plea, a link, a thought...

first.

i have got to tell you all to take a trip over to the pioneer woman today. yah, like i have to tell bloggers to go to visit ree. that is hilarious, i know. but if my chance, someone happens upon my blog that does not normally visit the pioneer woman, or if you can imagine, hasn't ever heard of the pioneer woman, they need to know to go visit her site. visit her site, link here, and leave a comment. she is giving away 2 $500 donations to the haiti related charity of the winners choice. she is also donating $.10 for every comment left on that post. a different kind of giveaway from the kind she usually does, and one that has the ability to touch hundreds of thousands of lives. so go.

i tried to find the words to post about haiti, to post about the turmoil in my heart, but i could not. i simply could not find the words. go see rachel at a cupcake for moose, her heart and her words said it far better than i could express this day.

second.

i have two new bloggers entering blog world that are near and dear to my heart.

rachel. my old roommate, my fellow edge tripper, mother of two beautiful girls, and my dear friend.

my auntie kimberly. she is one of the nicest ladies i know, she has a heart of gold, and to be honest all my friends growing up thought she was hott. she's the hott mom. you must check her out.

third.

"This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one; the being thoroughly worn out before you are thrown on the scrap heap; the being a force of nature instead of a feverish selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy."
George Bernard Shaw

  2. Jenn and Minna, what is this hot business? Sadly, I work harder now to stay fit than I ever did when you girls were young- and "hot" would not describe one thing about me! I do run several miles every other day so maybe my heart is hot:)
